NINA AT BOLOGNA CHILDREN'S BOOKS FAIR ...AND NOT AS VISITOR THIS TIME :)

Nina and me in good company, CEO and assistant Malia Edizioni - #giuntieditore

I remember in 2011 I was here by "the illustration wall" like these illustrators, pin upping Nina's tiny posters on the wall...hoping that someone would notice her....

"The Illustration Wall" ...these girls like me in 2011

2009 | I went to the Bologna Children's Book Fair first time in 2009. I didn't even know about its existance...Those days I was just into Nina's start-up project..I didn't know nothing about illustrations, fairs, how to, where to etc.
2011 | I went to Bologna Children's Book Fair knowing what was about, I just went to have a look at the magic world of illustrations. It was so full of talented illustrators and authors.
2012 | same as 2011 :)
2014 | I went to Bologna Children's Book Fair not only as visitor. My License Agency DIC2SRL had a booth by the pavillon Bologna Licensing Trade fair which take place in the same days. The Licensing industry has expanded in a big way in recent decades, both domestically and abroad, and provides extraordinary growth opportunities for licensors and licensees. That's to say an opportunity to promote my brand Nina and other little things.
2018 Well I finally went to Bologna because Nina and other little things is going to be published by MaliaEdizioni which belongs to GIUNTI EDITORE founded in 1841 in Florence.

Nina and other little things - MaliaEdizioni- MY FIRST 4 BOOKS!!

The Bologna Children’s Book Fair is the event in the publishing year’s calendar, built around children’s content today.

With over 50 years of experience the fair has succeeded in bringing together a unique and diverse global audience. The result is the world’s premium copyright exchange hub when it comes to publishing and now it includes an extra core that extends to all multi-media and licensing business for children’s content.

Publishers, illustrators, graphic designers, literary agents, authors, translators, mobile developers, licensors and licensees, packagers, printers, distributors, audiobook professionals, booksellers, brands, librarians and teachers flock to the event each spring to experience the business world of books and multimedia products in hundreds of booths across six huge halls.

NINA POETICALLY PERFORMS SALVATORI

NINA AND OTHER LITTLE THINGS has been commissioned by Salvatori to visualize the communication on the occasion of "Salone del Mobile" - the Milan Design Week 2018.

Nina is going to be the discrete "messenger & performer" of a sort of  "silent-art-lookbook" in which the projects of the designers and architects  - involved to create a collection for Salvatori - are going to be visualized in a original and poetic way.

Here below just a glance of what is going to be.

Salvatori is the excellence of marble since 1946, the Italian design company known the world over for its transformation of stone into beautiful and surprising textures.

It has worked closely with architects, designers and builders to provide not only practical support, but also inspiring new ways to work with stone which often challenge traditional thinking. This approach, combined with an innate solution-finding mentality and an eye for finesse and aesthetics, has led to the Salvatori name becoming synonymous with innovation, design and excellence the world over.

The designers involved by Salvatori to project the collection for the Milan Design Week are worldwide appreciated: John Pawson, Lissoni, Vincent Van Duysen, Studio Charlie, Elisa Ossino, David Lopes e Silvia Fanticelli.

What Salvatori tells us about NINA

If you haven’t met Nina, she’s a light-hearted, delightful character who is much loved all over Europe for her fresh take on the world. She has the happy knack of taking the simplest everyday item or the most obscure object and putting a new twist on them.

This year she will also be present at Salone del Mobile with Salvatori, in the guise of a kind of “friendly tour guide” to our new collections. Her unique way of looking at the world will extend to our collection of tables by John Pawson, new textures by Piero Lissoni and the range of home and office accessories we will be presenting in Milan.
Our complimentary special edition “Salvatori + Nina” bags are destined to be a “must have” souvenir.
You can “meet” Nina in our showroom during Salone from Tuesday 17 April.
Address: via Solferino 11, Brera Design District (nearest metro Moscova)
